
Peggy and I have been proud residents of St. Albert since 1989. Our son, Scott, lives and works in Edmonton.
Before becoming a Councillor, I served as an investigator with the Office of the Child and Youth Advocate. Prior to that, I enjoyed a 33-year career with the Edmonton Police Service, retiring at the rank of Superintendent after 14 years in senior management and leadership roles.
My experience includes operational policing, specialized criminal investigations, emergency management, strategic planning, policy development, project management, program auditing, and risk management. I am the recipient of the Governor General of Canada Police Exemplary Service Awards for 20 and 30 years of service, the Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal, and other awards and certificates. I am also a lifetime member of the Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police (CACP).
