Peggy and I have been residents of St Albert since 1989. Our son, Scott lives and works in Edmonton.
On October 18th 2021, I was honoured to be elected by the residents of St. Albert to represent them as one of their City Councillors for a second term.
Prior to my election in 2017, I was an investigator with the Office of the Child and Youth Advocate. Before that, I enjoyed a 33 year career with the Edmonton Police Service, retiring at the rank of Superintendent - serving 14 years in senior management and leadership positions.
I have extensive experience in operational policing, specialized criminal investigations, emergency management, strategic planning, policy development, project management, program audit and risk management. Recipient of the 20 and 30 year Governor General of Canada Police Exemplary Service Awards, the Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal, plus other Awards and Certificates. I remain a life-time member of the Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police (CACP).
